Epic Games, Inc. is an American video game and software developer and publisher based in Cary, North Carolina. The company was founded by Tim Sweeney as Potomac Computer Systems in 1991, originally located in his parents' house in Potomac, Maryland. Following its first commercial video game release, ZZT (1991), the company became Epic MegaGames, Inc. in early 1992 and brought on Mark Rein, who has been its vice president since. After moving the headquarters to Cary in 1999, the studio changed its name to Epic Games. Taken from Wikipedia.

Tested with AnonAddy, SimpleLogin apparently works as well. Remember most services block domains with more than two dots and @.xyz.
While this technically ain't part of the SPT, this probably should have an impact on how private the service is so I just added this in.
Should be expected if they're gonna ban VPNs (see below).
Tim.
To quote the privacy policy regarding information they automatically collect: "The general location of your device, which we typically derive from your device's IP address.".
How else are you supposed to know how much time that Victory Royale cost you?
Again, never use chat provided by your game launcher.
AWS and Akamai to name a few.
Expected from a video game store I guess.
Well that sucks.
I haven't found an opt out switch for all of this, feel free to correct me if you want.
See below.
Some have reported that they got locked out of their Epic accounts when using a VPN and will require some personal information to unlock it (including credit card details, yikes!). If you don't mind browsing through Reddit you can check r/fuckepic to read about all of it.
Allegedly.
They don't even have support for Linux. Dweebs!
See Analysis for my personal recommendations.
Tencent is a major stockholder. Need I say more?
As much as I'd like to have limited it to the option above, Epic themselves have proven time and time again that they don't care about our privacy (they do value our data though).

Analysis: Epic has always been second fiddle to Steam in terms of video game distribution. However, they seem to triumph over them when it comes to negative SPT scores. There's also been many reports regarding unauthorized data collection from their client, mainly what you have in your Steam library (someone's jealous). I've also heard whispers about their free games not exactly being free and instead of money you pay with your data. Not much I can say about this except to avoid it at all costs if you value your privacy. If you somehow still want to use Epic, I'd suggest using a 3rd party client like Heroic or Legendary.
