Signal is an encrypted messaging service for instant messaging, voice, and video calls. The instant messaging function includes sending text, voice notes, images, videos, and other files. Communication may be one-to-one between users, or for group messaging. Taken from Wikipedia.
Terms of Service and Privacy Policy. One link, neat!
One of the few downsides of what many deem the gold standard in terms of private communication.
Unfortunately uses Cloudflare CDN when sending media and checking for updates. My heart was just shattered when I found out.
"Additional technical information is stored on our servers, including randomly generated authentication tokens, keys, push tokens, and other material that is necessary to establish calls and transmit messages. Signal limits this additional technical information to the minimum required to operate the Services."
I think this fits here.
Available for Windows, Mac, Linux, IOS, and Android!
This is not an endorsement I swear.
Multiple grants and a parent NPO keep this boat floating baby.

Analysis: Damn, I guess Signal really does deserve its title of being the ruler of the encrypted communication kingdom. Not all services can easily get an S on this bad boy of mine yet this service came, saw, and conquered despite the negatives it got on the first half. I can easily recommend anyone to use this service over most of the competition and I urge everyone to get their family to switch over. You never know when your country becomes a member of the oppressive regime club.
